Choices Clinic

Our Choices Clinic embodies the principle of “Your Body, Your Choice,” led by a compassionate team of experienced doctors dedicated to women’s health and autonomy.

Confidential, judgement-free support

At our on-premises Choices Clinic, we offer a range of confidential services to address women’s health needs — especially during critical and sensitive times. We provide both expert guidance and compassionate medical care, ensuring that all our consultations are conducted with total privacy and the utmost respect for your decisions.

  • Unplanned pregnancy counselling: We provide confidential, non-directive, and non-judgmental counselling to support women facing unplanned pregnancies, helping you explore your options in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Emergency contraception: We provide prescriptions for emergency contraception, which works better the sooner you take it but must be taken within 5 days following unprotected intercourse, or it may not work.
  • Medical termination of pregnancy: For pregnancies under 63 days (9 weeks), we offer discreet services for medical terminations, and can arrange these internally without the need to see multiple doctors or attend another practice. As part of our services, we have specific processes in place with the local pharmacies for ultimate discretion.
  • Referral for surgical termination: While not performed on-site, we provide referrals to specialised services for surgical termination and support you throughout and after the process.

Appointments can be booked by emailing choices@plantagenetmedical.com.au if you do not want to call us via our general contact number. Please mention if you’d prefer a face-to-face, video, or telephone consultation.

FAQs

How soon should I book an appointment if I need emergency contraception?

As soon as possible. Emergency contraception is most effective when taken shortly after unprotected sex, ideally within the first 24 hours. You can also get emergency contraception over the counter from most pharmacies.

What should I bring to my consultation at the Choices Clinic?

Please bring any relevant health records or documents that may help in discussing your health options. It’s also helpful to have a list of any medications you’re currently taking.

Are there any follow-up services after a medical termination?

Yes, we provide follow-up consultations to monitor your health and ensure a complete recovery. It’s especially important to check your physical and emotional well-being after this procedure.

Can I receive counselling if I decide to continue with my pregnancy?

Yes, counselling services are available regardless of your decision. Our clinic supports you with resources and guidance for any path you choose. There is no pressure to make a decision on the first visit, and you will be supported without judgement along your journey, no matter what you choose.
